Based out of Donnelly, Idaho, Steve Lockwood Home Design specializes in new custom residential, as well as residential remodel design.

Over the past two decades, Steve has enjoyed working on numerous award-winning projects in the Portland Metropolitan area such as NW Natural Street of Dreams, Street of New Beginnings and NW Natural Clark County Parade of Homes. Past site locations vary from the PNW coast, Portland, Bend Area, to several sites throughout Idaho.

Steve has 30 years of design experience, including 15 years under his belt designing clean-rooms in the high-tech industry across the world and clean-operating systems for hospitals across the U.S.

Our process:

Let’s look: Visiting the site with you, the client, and the builder is important in order to get a feel for the lay of the land and discuss future build expectations and budget.

Let’s meet: Bring your ideas, dreams, magazine clips, coffee stained napkin sketches, etc.  Steve wants to hear it all! This will be the first step to a preliminary design.

Let’s draw: Floor plans, elevations, and site plan. Ironing out the details until we get a clear picture of your new home will be the path that turns the preliminary design into final design.

Let’s do this: After final design is agreed upon, next comes the construction documentation for permit. Steve will coordinate with a project engineer for the final construction documents, addressing lateral/seismic/environmental details which will be required. A final set of the construction and permitting documents will be submitted to your builder when completed.

Let’s build: Off to the builder, and what was once a dream will now become a reality!

To balance life, Steve enjoys activities such as writing and performing music, skiing, bicycling, motorcycle riding, and hiking with his wife Nicole and their dog Daisy.
